Pirate Invasion! Yarr! Those pirates are back again, and are set to invade
the 38th Annual Sterling Renaissance Festivalís 2014 season on a special
piratical weekend, July 26 & 27. Pirates are invading the Shire with
swashbuckling adventure, comedy and song. Join our Pirate Costume
Competition for kids and adults. Raise a glass of grog in the
Snickleway pubs Tavernís Pirate Revel. Pirate bands will rove,
shanties will be sung, and very little honest work shall be done.
Have a care, lest you be captured for ransom or pressed into service on
a pirate cruise. Donít be lured into the wanton path of wild abandon,
drink and song, and hang on to your mate lest they be sold at a pirate auction.
So you say ye a pirate? Well then shout ye loudest pirate "Yarr!"...

compete in a Caber Toss and Stone Put competition and demonstration.
Share the music of the Highlands at pub sings, and hear Celtic jams on
stages and in the lanes that are sure to put a wind up your kilt.

Fantasy Weekend! Follow your fantasy to the 38th Annual Sterling Renaissance Festivalís 2014 season, as they present a special event as part of their seven weekends of merriment. Fantasy weekend takes place on August 9 & 10. Come celebrate all things Fantastical as the town of Warwick pays tribute to the myths and legends of Old England. Sprites, Fairies, Witches, and Robin Goodfellow himself will be seen in a masquerade of folkloric characters. Pull out those outfits that you wouldnít dare wear anywhere else and join our Favorite Fantasy Costume Contest, or just enjoy being some one else for a while. Stories, entertainments and pageants will all serve to appease the inhabitants of the unseen world that surrounds the woodlands of Warwickshire.
